Project Engineer & Product Manager – QHSE (m/f/d)


to join us as in November/December 2021.


Your tasks & responsibilities:

  • You are the focal point of contact for external inquiries related to the service segment QHSE
    • Definition and/or optimization of the service segment QHSE in line with the company vision (in cooperation with Management)
    • Monitoring market development relevant for the business segment and attend relevant business events – also as a speaker
    • Constant updating and development of the service portfolio QHSE (webpage / social media / presentations)
    • Identification of potential targets for cooperation and of potential new clients / projects
    • Coaching Sales, Business Development and Project Managers on service portfolio of the Business Segment
    • Liaising with external partners and market participants on all aspects of the business segment
    • Accompanying Sales, Business Development, Project Managers in client and acquisition meetings as Expert
  • You contribute to our projects – either as Project Engineer or as QHSE Manager
    • Creation of quality and HSE plans as well as other QHSE-relevant documents
    • Offshore assignments as HSE Advisor / Officer
    • Carrying out audits and inspections at supplier locations as well as on ship units and on offshore installations
    • Project management for HSE and QA / QC projects
    • Responsible for all project related QHSE issues including such representation towards our customers, in meetings and negotiations with authorities, project partners, suppliers, etc.
    • Development of project related procedures for the implementation of the established QHSE standards as well as for the optimization of QHSE-relevant procedures
    • Working towards compliance with legal, official and customer-specific requirements on occupational safety, health and environmental protection and the implementation of the necessary measures by the companies involved
    • Accompanying tenders from a QHSE perspective
    • Preparation of bidder documents for participation in tenders
    • Review and preparation of project related risk assessments


Your profile:

  • Academic degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Preferably a specialist for occupational safety (e.g. NEBOSH, Sifa, SiGeKo)
  • Experience with management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001) and the Safety Culture Ladder
  • Knowledge of relevant rules & guidelines as well as practical application (e.g. OHS & environmental protection legislation, DGUV, DG cargo, MARPOL)
  • Experience in the shipping or offshore wind industry is desirable
  • Willingness to travel, high level of commitment and initiative
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, holistic process thinking, organizational skills
  • Understanding of project related business economics
  • Structured, result-oriented and independent way of working
  • Excellent team player with strong communication skills
  • Experience with project management methods (waterfall, Scrum) is desirable
  • Willingness for further training in special topics such as fire protection or explosion protection
  • Very good written and spoken German and English
