For the Marine Coordination Center of the offshore wind farm Baltic Power in Leba, Poland, we are currently looking for a

Freelance Senior Marine Coordinator (m/f/d)

to support our team on-site as soon as possible for a duration of 3-4 months.

Your tasks:

  • Support and mentor marine coordination staff on-site
  • Act as an on-site trainer and point of escalation for operational challenges
  • Monitor and coordinate project-related maritime traffic to ensure the smooth execution of offshore activities
  • Continuously assess whether the chartered ships for the project meet the requirements of respective offshore work
  • Coordinate project-related TETRA digital radio communication to ensure effective communication among various stakeholders
  • Prepare, review, and approve work permits while considering safety guidelines
  • Facilitate and document daily ship telephone conferences with captains and representatives of all involved vessels

Your Profile:

  • Experience in marine coordination
  • Completed education or degree in the maritime field (at least Master 500GT or experience as a Nautical Watch Officer)
  • Maritime radio certificates (ROC/GOC)
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Word, and ideally familiar with ECDIS hardware
  • Fluent in English and Polish preferred
  • Willingness to work from Monday – Friday in 10 or 12 hour shifts
