To support operations on the BorWin5 and DolWin5 Offshore Grid Connection Projects, we are currently searching for
Mechanical Commissioning Inspectors (m/f/d)
starting in May 2025 in 14 days on/off rotations.
- BorWin5: until February 2026
- DolWin5: until June 2026 (with an initial month in Norway)
Your Responsibilities
- Inspect and test mechanical systems and components on offshore HVDC converter platforms in the German North Sea.
- Supervise commissioning activities for:
- HVAC systems
- Firefighting systems
- Compressed air systems, pumps, valves, piping
- Deck cranes, lifting equipment, hoists
- Mechanical auxiliaries (e.g., diesel generators, tanks)
- Accommodation modules (MLQs/TLQs)
- Additional outfitting components
- Witness, execute, and document pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up operations.
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications, vendor requirements, and international standards (DIN, IEC, DNV, API).
- Create and maintain commissioning documentation, including checklists, test protocols, ITPs, and TQCs.
- Coordinate activities with electrical, instrumentation, and automation disciplines.
- Actively participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and HSE walkdowns.
- Draft detailed inspection reports.
- Support punch list management, FAT/SAT, system handovers, and readiness milestones.
Your Profile
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC/Utility Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in mechanical commissioning, ideally in offshore or complex energy infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, P&IDs, and isometric diagrams.
- Knowledge of relevant standards: DIN, EN, DNV, IEC, ISO.
- Familiarity with Commissioning Management Systems (e.g., ICAPS, CMS tools, or similar).
- Valid offshore certifications: BOSIET or GWO, HUET, and offshore medical.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); German is a plus.
- Independent working style, high attention to detail, strong safety mindset.
- Confident in producing timely, high-quality technical documentation and reports.
