To strengthen our team in Hamburg we are searching for a
Strategic Purchaser (m/f/d)
Your Tasks:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies for long-term procurement goals
- Identify and qualify suppliers to meet company requirements
- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to lower risks and improve project and company margin
- Manage supplier performance, quality control, and delivery times
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure in-time availability for ongoing projects
- Monitor and report on market trends affecting procurement
- Identify suitable partner for frame work agreements and initiate negotiations
Your Profile:
- Completed relevant educational background, such as a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a focus on strategic purchasing
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken), additional language skills (e.g., German, French) are an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and a procurement software (e.g. SAP, Oracle)
- Expertise in contract negotiations, including pricing, terms and agreements with suppliers
- Experience in the renewable energy sector, manufacturing, or offshore industries is a plus
- Strong team player with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, tender, and finance
- Adaptable to working in a rapidly changing environment and responding to evolving business needs
