For the realization of the Offshore Wind Farm Yeu-Noirmoutier, France, from asap until December 2026 we are currently searching for a

Control Engineer (m/f/d)

to execute the operations in a 14/14 rotation model.

Your tasks: 

  • Monitoring, operating and managing the project´s electrical network
  • Coordinating, performing, and authorizing switching operations for electrical safety isolations and electrical network operations on OSS, Array Cables, FOU and WTG assets
  • Ensuring safe switching, operations, including the execution of work in accordance with project’s electrical safety rules
  • Ensuring high quality of MV/HV network commissioning works and review of related documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with all local and national grid code requirements and providing inputs and reports to grid provider
  • Participating and preparing of electrical safety documents, processes and procedures
  • Acting as the Electrical Safety Control Engineer (m/f/d), being responsible for final decision on switching activities
  • Acting as Senior Authorized Person (m/f/d) when required
  • Monitoring and operating electrical equipment via SCADA systems (incl. signal testing)
  • Participating in authorization panels
  • Training O&M personnel and acting as mentor to junior Control Engineers (m/f/d) and SAPs (m/f/d)

Your profile:

  • Relevant educational background in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in high voltage operation and management of networks up to 225kW
  • Strong knowledge of HV/LV transmission networks and power systems
  • Understanding of electrical networks and Control & Protections
  • Experience in switching operations and electrical systems
  • Previous experience as Charge De Conduite is an advantage
  • Experience in offshore windfarm commissioning or operations is essential
  • Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English; French is an advantage.
  • Ability to create excellent results through teamwork and develop good relationships with colleagues and external business partners

Minimum training requirements:

  • Full GWO certification (First Aid, Sea Survival, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Working at Heights)
  • Electrical certification according to NF C18-510
