We are looking for a
Logistics & Coordination Support (m/f/d)
to join our team on a freelance basis to support the BorWin 5 Project on-site in Emden.
This offshore project will run from May 2025 until January 2026, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00. While weekends are not initially planned, flexibility may be required if operational needs arise.
The role requires on-site presence and close collaboration with our Spanish client, acting as a key interface to ensure smooth logistics, personnel coordination, and material supply throughout the project period.
Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Single Point of Contact for full logistics coordination: act as the single point of contact for all logistics-related matters, ensuring smooth coordination between onshore supply, offshore personnel, and material transfers in alignment with client project requirements.
- Local procurement of (ad hoc) tools, equipment and material based on project needs; managing urgent requests and ensuring timely availability of critical resources.
- Heliport Operations & Flight Coordination: Provide on-site support at the heliport for all inbound and outbound flights, assisting personnel, and transport processes when required. Monitor and track real-time oversight of flight schedules, potential delays, and contingency plans. Proactively maintaining communication with all involved parties.
- Customs & Material Handling: Pick-up and transport of materials requiring customs clearance at customs office, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and smooth processing of shipments.
- Supervision of accommodation; Oversee and facilitate accommodation arrangements for onshore personnel
- Shuttle & Transport Management: Coordinate shuttle services between hotels, heliports, and airports, optimizing travel schedules for personnel and ensuring timely transfers.
Requirements:
- Completed education in a relevant field such as logistics management, supply chain management, business administration, or a technical field related to offshore operations
- Proven experience in logistics, offshore operations and supply chain coordination
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining high attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges and operational demands
- Excellent communication and capable of liaising between onshore and offshore teams as well as international clients
- Knowledge of customs clearance processes and material transportation regulations is an advantage
- Language skills: Fluent in English and German; Spanish is a strong advantage
- Car or Van for local transportation and valid driver’s license (Class B) required
